Laboratory Technology

Laboratory Technology Program was opened in 2016-2017 Academic year to receive students at Altıntaş Vocational School.

Scope and aim of Program:

The program is a intermediate training field related to the breeding-production issues in all areas of agricultural production activities and the problems encountered during processing, storage and transportation.

The main purpose of program is to educate technical staff who learned new concepts and principles related to the department, realized new systems and technological methods, have the ability to develop new products, make production and quality control in laboratory and production units including quality assurance. In this program, it is aimed to teach laboratory techniques, introduce the instruments and devices to be used in analysis and to gain the ability to work in laboratory.

Career Opportunities

Graduates from Laboratory Technology program can work as technician in laboratories. The graduates are employed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and in laboratory departments of the Ministry,  laboratories established within the municipality, relevant department laboratories of the university, also in factories that produce all kinds of food, medicine, agricultural inputs and in private laboratories.

Transition to Senior Programs:

Graduates who are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by ÖSYM can continue related undergraduate program.
